Modern Asian Cuisine Bar Restaurant


Location: Perth inner suburbs

Our restaurant is currently seeking a talented and passionate Head Chef to lead our culinary team and showcase their creativity and expertise in modern Asian cuisine.Located in the heart of Perth, Western Australia, our establishment offers a vibrant and contemporary dining experience with a focus on delivering exceptional food and excellent service.


Responsibilities:Develop and create innovative menus combining traditional Asian flavors with a modern twist to meet the preferences of our diverse clientele.Lead and supervise the kitchen team to ensure efficient operations, delegation of duties, and high-quality food production.Oversee food preparation, cooking techniques, and presentation to maintain consistent standards and ensure customer satisfaction.Source and select fresh, seasonal, and high-quality ingredients from local vendors to incorporate sustainability and support local businesses.Manage inventory, food cost control, and kitchen budgets to maximize profitability while minimizing wastage.Ensure compliance with all food safety and hygiene standards, including proper handling and storage of ingredients, equipment maintenance, and cleanliness.Collaborate with management to develop new ideas, promotions, and special events for the restaurant while keeping up to date with industry trends.Train and mentor staff members, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment conducive to professional growth and development.


Requirements:Proven experience as a Head Chef or relevant role in leading a team within Asian-inspired restaurant.In-depth knowledge of Asian cuisine, particularly proficient in modern Asian cooking techniques and flavor profiles.Creative flair and ability to continually innovate and improve our menu offerings to captivate and satisfy customers.Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, train, and mentor kitchen staff.Exceptional organizational and time management skills, capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.Good communication skills to maintain effective working relationships with the team and management.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, maintaining composure under pressure while meeting deadlines.Relevant qualifications in Culinary Arts or Hospitality Management are advantageous.Availability to work flexible hours, Tuesday to Saturday with Sunday and Monday as days off.


Salary:

We offer a competitive salary package from 80K to 90K plus superannuation, commensurate with skills and experience.
